Law and Public Services

Overview 

The Law and Public Service Pathway provides the knowledge and understanding for scholars to actively influence decisions that have an impact on social justice.  Scholars have an opportunity to learn, understand, and participate in the creation and enforcement of civil and criminal laws.  Scholars will acquire a fundamental understanding of the law, and then develop the skills necessary to advocate and influence those in power.

Photography

Overview

In the photography pathway, scholars will learn how to use a camera to create powerful works of art. They will learn how to master both film and digital photography and communicate in the visual language of photographs. Scholars will also learn about the history, social impact and the modern trends of the art of photographic, and how to manipulate images with advanced editing programs as well as master the intricate process of developing film.

Overview

The Health Science Pathway is designed to prepare scholars for majoring and obtaining a career in the medical field. From pediatricians to physical therapists, scholars will research careers in this ever changing and fastest growing industry in the United States. Scholars will learn more about the human body and the interdependence of its systems as well as research the history and trends in health care and study diseases and how they affect individuals as well as our community.

Engineering

Overview

The Purpose of this pathway is to introduce scholars to the engineering design process, by applying math, science, and engineering standards to hands-on projects. Scholars will use these standards to work both individually and in teams to design solutions to a variety of problems using 3D modeling software as well as keeping an engineering notebook to document their work throughout the three years.
