Welcome Back! A message from CEO, Jake Mossawir

Article

The 2017-18 school year started off with a bang on August 9th. In the last few weeks we have discovered new areas for growth and have much to celebrate. Without a doubt, this is bound to be a very exciting school year.

This year our team brought in nearly 50 highly qualified staff members who have traveled near and far to join the St. HOPE family. New staff members received a special orientation to learn more about the Oak Park neighborhood and the vision for St. HOPE Public Schools in preparation for the school year. We also held network-wide professional development sessions for all staff focused on holding all scholars to high expectations and the power of planning.

St. HOPE Public Schools has already held a variety of incredible events including the annual Seeds of HOPE Dinner showcasing the Edible Sac High Garden & Program raising funds for continued garden and cooking education. Our schools also put on incredible back-to-school nights, which were well-attended by families and students!

As we enter into these fall months I would like to thank all scholars, families, staff, and community members for a great start to the school year. I encourage everyone to stay engaged with the amazing things that are happening at St. HOPE and perhaps attend our annual board meeting on October 2nd at 4:30 p.m. in the Sac High Library or join me for an athletic game as we cheer on the Sac High Dragons, the Oak Park Prep Eagles, and the PS7 Shepherds.

With HOPE,

Jake
