Born and raised in nearby Sonoma County, Jerad Hyden was the first member of his family to graduate and attend college and truly understand the importance of lifelong learning. Jerad spent the last several years teaching both middle school and high school science to underprivileged students in South Sacramento. During his tenure, Jerad has been a Head Coach, Athletic Director, English-Language Coordinator, and Teacher-in-Charge working to address deficiencies in learning and to promote student outcomes for all. Jerad earned his B.S. in Criminal Justice and his Single-Subject Teaching Credential in Biological Sciences from California State University, Sacramento. Jerad received the Honored Educator Award four separate years and was nominated for Teacher of the Year through Elk Grove Unified School District. Jerad earned his M.A. from University of the Pacific and was named the Outstanding Administrative Service Credential Graduate.
