Oak Park Prep: Our Staff

Our Staff

Oak Park Prep teachers are a highly-devoted, hard-working team who believes that all scholars can achieve at the highest academic levels and are committed to closing the achievement gap in the neighborhood of Oak Park.

Oak Park Prep teachers receive extensive professional development to ensure that they are high-performing and continuously improving. During the summer, teachers participate in five weeks of professional development to create curriculum, write lessons, learn Oak Park Prep’s culture, and learn the common instructional practices used by highly-effective teachers. Throughout the school year, the principal of Oak Park Prep observes and provides feedback to teachers daily. Teachers also have 3 hours of professional development time each Wednesday to collaborate with their colleagues, analyze scholar achievement data, and develop their professional practice with the school leader.
