Sac High Signing Day Celebrates 99% of Seniors Accepted to a 4 Year College
President's Message - May 5, 2026
Spring is one of my favorite times of the year. Not only is the weather great and we can enjoy time outdoors, but it’s when our high school seniors make decisions about their next steps. On May 6, Sac High is hosting Signing Day where seniors will share their college decision with the community.
This year, 99% of Sac High seniors were accepted into four-year colleges including 6 University of California campuses, 20 California State University campuses, and 28 Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). They all have worked so hard and I am so proud of them.
One of the ways St. HOPE Academy supports St. HOPE Public Schools’ scholars is by providing the Peat Scholarship to a deserving Sac High senior to help offset college expenses. The scholarship, established in honor of Georgia “Mother Rose” Peat West’s parents, aims to foster access to higher education and encourage students to give back to the community.
I believe education is a lifelong journey and I am so excited for Sac High’s Class of 2026 as I know they will continue to learn, grow, and make a meaningful impact in the lives of others.
In community,
Cassandra H.B. Jennings
President and CEO
