The Sac BlkLit Book Fest is coming Saturday, September 13, 2025!
Formerly known as the Sacramento Black Book Fair, the event is returning to Oak Park as the Sac BlkLit Book Fest. The day-long event will be hosted by Underground Books and the Guild Theater at 40 Acres in Oak Park.
Spend the day with incredible voices like Les Robinson, Anita Gayle Jones, and bestselling author Shaka Senghor, plus an inspiring Writing While Black panel with industry leaders. Don’t miss a powerful conversation with Sac State President Luke Wood, UC Davis Chancellor Gary May, and Kevin Johnson, and cap it off with a special fireside chat with actress and author Victoria Rowell on the re-release of her memoir The Women Who Raised Me.
