PS7 Elementary is Now Modernized, State-of-the-Art Campus in Oak Park
St. HOPE Academy was instrumental in helping to secure $34 million in funding to renovate PS7 Elementary on Strawberry Lane. On August 27, we participated in a ribbon cutting to celebrate the transformed and modernized campus which includes:
- 31 brand new classrooms with new technology
- Renovated multi-purpose room and kitchen
- New administration building
- Reconfigured front entrance, accessways, and parking area to ensure safe drop off and pick ups
- New hardscape, landscaping, playground, fields, and basketball courts
Investing in the condition of our schools is a critical step toward improving educational outcomes, fostering equity, and showing students that their futures are worth investing in. At St. HOPE we believe that all students, regardless of their zip code deserve a learning environment that reflects their potential and supports their growth. This new facility not only supports student achievement but also strengthens the connection between families, staff, and the broader Oak Park community. A school like this becomes a hub—a place where learning, growth, and community pride intersect. It is also a powerful statement that South Oak Park is worthy of investment. Too often this neighborhood has been overlooked—but with St. HOPE’s investment and the partnership of the community we can now celebrate progress and promise.
