As we head into the Thanksgiving holiday I wanted to share how grateful I am for your support and generosity as we collectively work to uplift Oak Park and the greater Sacramento community. I am excited to share with you our 2023–2025 annual report that provides a look back at the important work we have done over the past two years to bring jobs and economic development to an area that has historically been left behind. Together we’ve created a vibrant 40 Acres cultural complex that not only houses the Guild Theater and Underground Books, but other popular establishments including Fixins, Old Soul, and World Class Faders barbershop. I’m proud of the work we have done to bring our community together through enriching cultural events and family-friendly activities and look forward to furthering our community-building efforts.

Lastly, I am thrilled that St. HOPE Academy has played an integral role in helping to expand horizons for St. HOPE Public Schools scholars. We’ve helped connect them with internship opportunities, college tours, Black History and Hispanic Heritage programming, and so much more. We’ve seen firsthand how these experiences empower our young people to aim higher and feel connected to the community that supports them.

As the saying goes, it takes a village and we are so glad you are part of our village as we work together to make our community stronger and continue building a legacy that future generations can be proud of. I hope you and your family have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday filled with many blessings.

In community,

Cassandra H.B. Jennings
