You won’t want to miss St. HOPE’s annual Juneteenth Block Party on Saturday, June 14 from 4-9pm that will take place in and around the 40 Acres Complex in Oak Park (35th Street and Broadway). Check out the video from last year!
The free event will have activities for everyone including a kids zone, live music, black-owned vendors, cultural activities and of course amazing food! We have a great event lineup including:
Live Music & Performances – get ready for an electrifying lineup featuring performances by Lucky Witherspoon, Sol Development, and the legendary Digital Underground. Enjoy a mix of soulful sounds, conscious hip-hop, and timeless classics that celebrate the spirit of Juneteenth.
Food Trucks & Vendors – indulge in mouthwatering bites from some of the best food trucks in the region, offering a variety of flavors inspired by Black cuisine and culture.
Wine and Beer Garden – experience the Wine and Beer Garden, featuring tastings from Black-owned wineries and breweries, proudly sponsored by Oak Park Brewing Company.
The Stylistics Car Show – enjoy a showcase of classic and custom cars from local car club The Stylistics, bringing style and history to the celebration.
Family Fun at Esther’s Park – St. HOPE Public Schools will transform Esther’s Park into a vibrant play space for kids, filled with games, activities, and interactive fun for the whole family.
Community & Culture – enjoy spoken word, dance performances, and special guest appearances that highlight the significance of Juneteenth and the richness of Black heritage.
Black-Owned Business Marketplace – support local entrepreneurs and explore a curated selection of handcrafted goods, fashion, art, and more.
VIP Jubilee Lounge – for a premium experience, relax in the VIP Jubilee Lounge, a seated section within the bar lounge with a comfortable atmosphere and an excellent view of the stage.
