Char will share insights from her new book Black-Owned The Revolutionary Life of the Black Bookstore and talk about the important role Black bookstores have played in shaping culture community and activism. She will also discuss her research and writing process and what these spaces mean today. The evening will wrap up with a book signing and a chance to meet the author.
