Short Film

Directed by: Tosin Morohunfola

About Famous Enough:  A self-obsessed actor walks through an airport and meets fans, foes and flirts along the way. As he juggles his celebrity, social media and his thirst for fame, he learns the hard way who not to trust when he is suddenly kidnapped.

EXTENDED SYNPOSIS: Newly semi-famous actor, Tosin Moronfella finds himself in a strange limbo — recognizable enough to be noticed, but overlooked just enough to question his own potential prominence. After a humbling run-in with an A-list actress on a first-class flight, he stumbles through a surreal day of fan encounters, micro-validations, and ego bruises that come with being “almost somebody.”

Navigating through a commercial airport terminal with his limo driver, Tosin meets both fans, foes and frenemies along the way. As he juggles his newfound celebrity, social media and his thirst for fame, he learns the hard way who to trust and who not to.

A sharp, darkly funny, and winding examination of fame’s fragile middle, where visibility is a trap, and attention comes at a cost — Famous Enough depicts the illusion of relevance in an age where everyone’s watching but no one really sees you.

This short film also serves as the proof-of-concept for the feature titled, “Stealing The Spotlight”.
