Overview St. HOPE Development Company, founded by NBA All-Star and Oak Park native Kevin Johnson, is a real estate acquisition and development company that also provides property management, maintenance and tenant recruitment services.

Mission St. HOPE Development Company is committed to investing in and developing inner-city real estate, which in turn stimulates growth in communities and leads to healthy returns on investments.

1885 Victorian (2004)
3418 3rd Avenue, Sacramento, CA

A well-preserved two-story structure, the renovated 1885 Victorian provides office space for two tenants including the Sacramento Philharmonic Orchestra.

40 Acres Art Gallery and Cultural Center (2003)
Broadway and 35th Street, Sacramento, CA

Located in the heart of the once thriving commercial district of Oak Park, the 40 Acres complex was formerly known as the historic Woodruff Hotel and Guild Theater. The 22,000 square foot facility is now a mixed-use retail complex housing:

PS7 Charter School (2003)
5201 Strawberry Lane, Sacramento, CA

Previously known as the John Muir Annex, the 17-classroom facility sits on 7.5 acres. Built in 1958, the renovated school site houses PS7 Elementary School, a K-8 St. HOPE Public Schools charter school.

The Oak Park Victorian (2001)
3734 Broadway, Sacramento, CA

A well-known landmark in Oak Park, the historic Victorian house was built in 1910. Currently unoccupied, the 3,900 square foot building is for available lease as office space.

St. HOPE Home Office (2000)
3400 3rd Avenue, Sacramento, CA

Renovated from a warehouse in 2001, the 6,000 square foot building houses the St. HOPE Home Office. The industrial appeal was maintained through the roll-up access door and brick exposure.

U.S. Bank Building (1997)
3418 Broadway, Sacramento, CA

A prominent building in the heart of Oak Park , the 5,300 square foot building was built in 1914. After years of being vacant, the building was renovated in 1997 to house the U.S. Bank Oak Park branch.

St. HOPE Academy Building (1991)
4104 Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard, Sacramento, CA

Built in 1991, the 7,000 square foot facility was the home of the original St. HOPE Academy after school program for more than 15 years. The building is currently being renovated to house the new St. HOPE preschool scheduled to open in fall 2007.

Future Projects

Walton Pediatrics Building
3501 Broadway, Sacramento, CA

Formerly the Urban League Building , the renovated Walton Pediatrics Building will house the medical practice of Dr. Stephanie Walton, which provides care to 4,000 youth from the Oak Park area and beyond.

Made Rite Site
3352 1st Avenue, Sacramento, CA

Currently a vacant lot, the mixed-use commercial development project is expected to be complete in the next five years.

Esther's Bakery
3408 3rd Avenue, Sacramento, CA

Located on the same block as the 40 Acres Complex and adjacent to the St. HOPE Home office, the 3,800 square foot building has two storefronts and a loft apartment on the second floor. The building will be renovated over the next five years.

Don Ju's
3402 Broadway, Sacramento, CA

Located across the street from the St. HOPE Home office, the 5,200 square foot building is a mixed-use project with two commercial spaces and two residential spaces on the second floor. Currently vacant, the expected renovation date is scheduled for 2007.
