OAK PARK CAMP

July 15-20, 2024, 10am to 4pm

Location: St. Hope/Sac High, 2315 34th Street, Sacramento

G.I.R.L.S. Rock Sacramento is much more than an arts and music education summer camp. We believe that creativity, positivity, and community are key elements of personal and collective empowerment and positive social change. Our C.O.M.E. Play day camps are week-long programs for young people who reside in the Oak Park and Del Paso Heights communities ages 7-17, and who identify as girls, non-binary, trans, or gender-expansive. Campers will attend instrument lessons (guitar, bass, drums, keyboard, or vocals), rehearse in a band, collaboratively write an original song, participate in daily music and empowerment-related workshops and activities, and perform at a live showcase at the end of the week.

No experience is necessary!

C.O.M.E. Play camps offer a sliding scale tuition option for participants, with tuition ranging from $0 to $50. We are fully committed to welcoming a diverse group of campers, and our sliding scale tuition option ensures that our campers represent an economically, racially, and culturally diverse community. Space is limited to 40 campers per session.
