What: 14th Annual St. HOPE Fundraising Dinner
When: Friday September 26th, 2008 7pm to 9pm

The Annual Dinner is St. HOPE's only fundraising event of the year and accounts for a significant portion of its operating budget. Thanks to sponsors, staff and friends, as well as an all-star list of keynote speakers, which have included Bill Cosby, Julius Erving, Magic Johnson, Charles Barkley, Sinbad, John Wooden, Chris Webber and Bill Walton, the Dinner has sold out every year attracting more than 1,000 guests to either the Radisson Hotel or Hyatt Hotel.

St. HOPE is pleased to welcome SHAQUILLE O'NEAL as this year's keynote speaker!

One of the most dominant players in NBA history, Shaq has won 4 NBA Championships, is a 14-time NBA All-Star, and was named one of the NBA's 50 Greatest Players. When not dominating on the court, Shaq is an accomplished rapper and actor who has released 5 studio albums, the first of which received platinum status, and has starred in major motion pictures such as "Blue Chips" and "Kazaam".

He is currently poised to lead the Pheonix Suns to their first NBA Title in the upcoming 2008-2009 season.

The Dinner provides an opportunity each year to recognize one of St. HOPE's four different divisions: Public Education, Economic Development, Civic Leadership and the Arts. The theme for the 2008 St. HOPE Dinner honors St. HOPE’s commitment to public education.
